CLINICAL DIGITAL MANAGER

POSITION INFO:

Exciting opportunity for a Clinician with Management experience to facilitate best practice and efficiency in the clinical domain through the implementation of focused clinical digital improvement strategies. 

Qualification and experience required

• Clinical degree at NQF level 7 is essential.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
• 3-5 years working experience in a clinical environment.
• Experience in training, coaching and mentoring and providing IT system support to end users.
• Experience in working on an electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Knowledge and behavioural competency:

• An advanced level of computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Ability to resolve and manage conflict, collaboratively problem solve, operate under pressure and to manage stressful situations
• Strong communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills around relationship building, establishing rapport and networking
• Organisational skills and time management
• Ability to drive change management.

Primary Objectives

• Work with clinical team and IT departments to support the efficient design, implementation, and use of health technology to provide the best and safest, digitally enabled health and care.
• Support HIO to drive the adoption and implementation of health technologies such as electronic medical records, electronic health records , computerised physician order entry, clinical decision support systems, health information exchanges, and other technologies used in the clinical setting.
• Design solutions  in line with business requirements and best clinical and information technology practices, while also guiding the clinical and IT departments on methodologies, processes and best practices according to the company''s Enterprise Architecture framework and Information Security principles

• Drive the Group’s digitisation strategy

Quality assurance

• Drive the quality improvement processes in the project to ensure the system delivers the highest level of care.
• Focus efforts on improving the overall quality of the  electronic system so as to drive user adoption.
