Job Description

• Possess a multi-function role of working with operations, software and architecture- network and internet protocols, Development ops and containerization, understanding virtualization.
• When faced with problems run application software on virtual machines, implement critical security and recovery measures at an advanced level for all clients so that their business runs safely.
• Advanced understanding of Cloud infrastructure based on API’s and web services for the integration of applications on the internet. Know open standards to transfer and describe data.
• Have a complete understanding of how a top cloud service provider works from end to end -compute, storage, databases, ML and migration.

• Programming, platform expertise, selecting the right services, managing an integrated environment, maintaining databases, managing a network and securing the cloud environment are pre-requisites skills for this senior role.
• Coupled with high level communication and decision making ability to ensure the team stays ahead of the game and to explain to internal stakeholders the benefits and options for their evaluation.
• It is important to be adaptable and learn new technologies.
• Migrate data and indicate where data has been moved.
• Automating key tasks - possess the ability to create complex algorithms that will the system make decisions.
• Gain knowledge of the company''s cloud architecture in order to automate multiple tasks.
• Estimate cost and workload in order to keep costs to a minimum.
• Application and knowledge in one or more Iaas providers- AWS, MS Azure or GCP.
• Advanced Programming code for the cloud systems in languages such as ASP.net, SQL, Phyton, Golang, PHP, C++, Java.
• Planning and designing cloud computing applications and services.
• Assisting with the deployment of cloud-based infrastructures.
• High level of customer communication. Function to optimize team effort and ensure all are engaged collectively.

• Five years minimum in a team leadership role as a cloud engineer
• Eight years in design and architecture programme solutions

• Engineering/Computer Science Degree
• Postgraduate: Masters/MBA
• Graduate certificate in Cloud software development
