SUMMARY:
CNC Machining Centre Programmer / Setter / Operator required for our precision tools and engineering company situated in the Edenvale area. Candidates are required to have 10 years’ plus relevant experience in a CNC Machining Centre (not lathe) utilizing Fanuc controls as well as programming in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam or Fusion 360).

POSITION INFO:
Job description: The CNC Programmer is responsible for the setting of CNC machining centres as well as to create CNC programs; this is a hands-on position. Ensure that the product being machined is according to drawing specification. Preparation of programs and tooling prior to production run. Troubleshooting of machining defects. Assist production in ensuring that the machining is according to drawing specification. Root cause analysis on machining defects in regards to programming and tooling. Reduction of machine cycle time and cost per component in regards to tooling. Implementation of improvement ideas in pre-setting and tool storage. Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible, versatile and\/or tolerant in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency. Qualifications: National Senior Certificate or NQF 4 Trade Test At least 10 years of relevant experience in CNC machining centre (not lathe) programming using Fanuc controls. Must be able to program using CAD\/CAM software (Mastercam or Fusion 360). Demonstrate attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Own reliable transport. Responsibilities: Set up and change tooling of CNC machining centres. Generate CNC programs using CAD\/CAM software. Monitor machine accuracy and troubleshoot malfunctions.
