JOB SUMMARY:
My client is looking for a CNC Machinist (Setting and Programming) in North West

JOB DESCRIPTION:

CNC SETTING AND PROGRAMMING ESSENTIAL

Key Performance Area:

Manufacture / machine and modify Tools, Jigs and Dies to supply the internal/external customer with the recquired production and according to standards.

Knowledge & skills required:

Have a good understanding of different types of CNC operations (Function).
Ensure that tools are manufactured/machine within company meet Quality Standards and / or according to relevant works instruction.
Must be able to write small programmes within the controller, be able to set up jobs on machine independantly, able to read and analyse 3D and 2D drawings.
Clear understanding of machine speed and feed.
Participate actively in departmental team meetings, prioritize work allocated for machining.
Problem solving.
Self driven.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience Required:

Grade 12 / N3
Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 2 years Toolroom experience.
CNC lathe (Haas or Fanuc Controls)
CNC Programming (Masteram or Edgemcam or simular)
Spark eroding (EDM)
Wire cutting
Manual milling
Manual lathe
