CNC Programmer Location: Durban (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview Our Client is a well-established manufacturing business looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Programmer to join their team in Durban. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for precision engineering and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimising CNC milling and turning machines while ensuring high-quality production, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities CNC Programming & Machine Optimisation Programme, set up, and optimise CNC milling and turning machines. Develop, modify, and optimise CNC programs to improve cycle times and machining efficiency. Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately. Work closely with CNC Setters to ensure efficient machine setup and production. Production & Quality Ensure components are manufactured to specification and quality standards. Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to minimise downtime. Continuously identify opportunities to improve machining processes and productivity. Health, Safety & Compliance Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with quality management standards. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Minimum Requirements Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Toolmaking, or a related field . Minimum 2–4 years' experience as a CNC Programmer within a manufacturing environment. Experience using Fusion 360 or similar CAD\/CAM software. Proficiency in CNC programming using Fanuc, Siemens, GSK, or similar control systems . Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
