Reporting directly to the CEO your main focus will be that of the executor to oversee the implementation of company strategies and its business plan.
Projects: from minor capital projects to major expansion process projects in the mining environment with a special focus on metal furnaces. Fairly small and lean EPCM company growing at a fast pace due to the expanding market conditions. They have a good name in the industry and have been around since 1985.
Successfully managed and constructed small, medium and large projects in both Greenfield and Brownfield environments.

Travel requirements: Projects are site based, mainly in Limpopo and the North West Province. The head office is virtual. Site accommodation available.
Job description / core competencies:
Your main focus will be that of the executor to oversee the implementation of company strategies and its business plan according to the established business model.
You carry the responsibility of "delivering results on a day-to-day, quarter-to-quarter basis" and to communicate directly with key stakeholders, clients, contractors and joint venture partner companies.
Focused on “superior deal value” and building bridges, with the ability to bring people, ideas and resources together.
Build relationships with partner companies that have aligned values. All Project Managers will report directly to you as well as the Project Support Service department.
Design operations strategies, communicate policies to employees and help human resources (HR) build core teams.
Spearhead and assist with rapid expansion.
Provide mentorship where applicable to the CEO and Senior Management.
Location (country, city): Gauteng (site-based projects, mainly in Limpopo and North West)
Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
A strong educational background combined with extensive experience in Project and Engineering Management in an EPC/EPCM environment and/or or as a client representative of a commodity producer.
With your experience working in a variety of positions, you have the ability to pinpoint specific issues and gaps within the organization. Having experience managing people and teams is also imperative, and the ability to be flexible.
Ideally experienced managed in managing a portfolio of projects, and a team of Project Managers that are responsible for multiple small to medium-sized projects (both greenfield and brownfield projects).
Minimum of 15 years of Project Management experience and have climbed the corporate ladder. Cultivated extensive experience in the practices, policies, and procedures. Resourceful problem solver, great communicators and possess strong leadership skills to direct multiple departments.
Education: Ideally hold a bachelor''s degree in mechanical engineering, will consider other disciplines. PMP: Project Management Professional. MBA or other commercial qualification will be advantageous.
High level of diplomacy, negotiation, and mediation skills. You enjoy networking, stakeholder engagement and relationship management. A great listener, ability to connect with people, exchanging with others and find amicable solutions in a polite, calm and practical manner and quick to see opportunities. Flexibility to work in a small team, with meaningful work relationships, similar values, a dynamic company that is growing rapidly. Position entails great variety and constant interaction with all stakeholders. Service-focused leadership, hands-on and communicate one-to-one.
