JOB SUMMARY:
FMCG production company situated in JHB South urgently seeking an experienced and qualified COST ACCOUNTANT MANAGER.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Required Qualifications:

• Cost & Management Accounting qualification

• 9-10 years’ experience in Costing

• Strong systems knowledge with Advanced Excel, Microsoft Business

Intelligence Reporting and ERP systems

Responsibilities:

Provide financial, commercial, and analytical support to various company departments to ensure efficient costing / quotation / sales process.
Conduct financial and operational analysis reports on all relevant cost areas together with variances.
Develop & maintain cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organisations.
Prepare, review and analysis of weekly management accounts and maintaining various costing dashboards.
Ensure the full stock control function within the organisations are delivering accurate reconciled information feeding into the weekly management accounts.
Initiate physical inventory / cycle counts and approval of full reconciliation.
Assist in audits and general ledger preparation.
Management and development of costing staff to ensure optimization of key performance indicators
Manage costing related system changes and system updates
Assist CFO with ad hoc projects

Required experience:

An analytical mind-set for the purpose of solving problems using well proven strategic approaches to identify resolution.
Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and proven ability to handle multiple tasks / priorities
High energy, team player with strong record of meeting goals and objectives.
Demonstrates ability to use initiative.
Displays an understanding of business requirements to ensure maximum efficiency.
Strong systems knowledge with Advanced Excel, Microsoft Business Intelligence Reporting and ERP systems.
Organised and methodical.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding deadlines.
Has ability to impact positively on those around them and ensure a positive working environment.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage staff effectively.
