Experience and qualifications
- Technical or Engineering degree
- Excellent math’s and IT Skills
- Excellent communication writing and presentation skills.
- Project Management skills
- Business skills
- Minimum 5 years previous marine mining fabrication estimating experience
- Knowledge and experience in ISO-9001, AS9100 requirements
- Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office programs
- Salary Negotiable
Duties and Responsibilities:- You will be responsible for accurate estimates for metal work, engineering and fabrication projects ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining high quality standards
- Work with sales team to prepare estimates and bids for existing and new proposed business
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors on estimates
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses
- Define Assumptions or Constraints: Identify any schedule or budget constraints, and how those will be resolved
- Evaluate a product’s cost effectiveness or profitability and recommend ways to make a product more cost effective
- Finalize the cost estimate. Maintain all files and data related to the specific project
- Travel to job sites to gather information on materials needed, labor requirements and other factors
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and co-workers
