CORE COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

Credit Manager

  • Managing the Credit Analysts and relevant admin staff
  • Auditing and reviewing of performance (quarterly)
  • Pipeline management
  • Managing, reviewing, and auditing of the system and data integrity reporting
  • Fraud detection
  • Liaison between Credit and Legal/Collections
  • identifying and reporting potential system and process improvements

Compliance Manager

Purpose of the role is to monitor the business risk and compliance framework across the organisation and provide assurance on industry and regulatory compliance programs in line with the prevailing legislative environment governing the financial sector.

  • Solid knowledge of various acts POPI, FICA, NCA, NCR, etc.
  • Creating, managing, and facilitating compliance processes in respect of the above-mentioned regulations.
  • Ensuring company compliance to applicable legislation.
  • Monitoring business operations for compliance with regulatory and policy requirements: Reporting non-compliance issues to management and working with staff to correct the issues.
  • Providing guidance and recommendations on corrective actions or risk mitigation strategies and ensuring proper implementation.
  • Remaining abreast of changes to relevant legislation at all times.
  • Reviewing and updating procedures to reflect changes in legislation and the business.
  • Acting as an educational and training resource on compliance matters.
  • Acting as the Information Officer for CFC.
  • Verifying documentation and ensuring processes/procedures are followed in terms of the following:
  • Approval conditions met and relevant documents signed off

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • BCom degree
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legislative policy and procedures for the financial sector
  • Knowledge of risk and credit management in the financial sector
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills
  • Capacity to prioritize effectively and multitask as necessary
  • Prior experience managing staff
