POSITION INFO:

A well established and growing Cyber Security client based in the UK is urgently seeking a seasoned and experienced Cyber Security Consultant with a very strong Technical and Cyber Security background. 

The Role

The role of the Cyber Security Consultant within Company is a dual role, firstly to provide cyber security consulting services to clients and support all pre-sales activities. Additionally, to act as the subject matter expert internally and champion cyber security within the Company, advising on service offerings.

This role reports into the Director of Professional Services. Job Responsibilities

• Deliver cyber security consulting services to clients including CISO, technical audits, and strategy creation/delivery
• Assist with cyber security related pre-sales work, including input into proposals and RFCs, attend client meetings and advise on solutions
• Plan and oversee the cyber security strategy
• Review and advise on the cyber security services offered to clients
• Oversee Client’s internal security monitoring, vulnerability posture and information protection
• Work with the Information Security consulting team to provide guidance and input on cyber security elements
• Meet revenue targets
• Champion Cyber Security and promote a security-conscious culture
• Maintain oversight of the cyber security services offered to clients, and the SOC operation, advising on and implementing improvements
• Report on Client’s cyber security posture and ongoing improvements to the Group CEO and Leadership Team
• Participate in regular client meetings as required to advise clients, support BizDev and TAMs, and sell cyber security services
• Maintain and grow a broad network of contacts, including hosting events to increase the Clients security exposure

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong technical, networking and support related background as well as cyber security experience, along with associated industry-standard certifications. B2B experience across a broad set of industry verticals from smaller SME to mid-market enterprises is essential.

Technical

• EC Council Certified Ethical Hacker
• CompTIA Security+
• Networking Security certifications
• Microsoft certifications, preferably security focused
• Other technical security certification (SIEM, EDR etc) Soft skills
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, ability to communicate at a business strategy level with C-Suite executives and at a technical level with engineers
• Well presented for client-facing engagements, possessing gravitas and confidence when engaging with clients.
• Experience delivering client facing presales and consulting engagements
• Excellent written communication skills, able to write documentation for all levels of business, from executive summaries to forensic incident investigation reports
• Possessing an understanding of business management and strategy, as well as financial, marketing and sales ability
• Understanding of global Security trends and developments, and the implications of international cyber security developments
• Demonstrable history of good job performance

Professional membership of at least 1 international security related body.

Desirable Experience

Exposure to and understanding of business strategy is vital to delivering holistic security strategies to clients, along with a strong foundation in technical support and security consulting.

• At least 7years in technical roles
• At least 2/3 years in a cyber security role
• Previous Management experience
• Experience delivering consulting work to multiple clients simultaneously
• Knowledge of cyber security frameworks (NIST)
• Experience overseeing SOC teams
• Experience designing and delivering cyber security services to clients, including commercial ownership of services
• Experience with security incident investigation and response
