JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a private school in Jhb West has an opportunity available for a Campus Bursar to join their finance team. We are looking for an experienced Campus Bursar who can work under pressure and deal with parents and students with empathy.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification required:

Bcom OR finance Diploma

Skills and experience required:

Previous experience in a school would be advantageous
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Must be fully computer literate – Pastel would be advantageous
Excellent communication with parents and pupils
Ability to deal empathetically with people at all levels

Job description:

Report to Finance Manager
Assist FM and Principal with budgets and forecasts
Monitor expenditure
Manages and controls petty cash
Collect outstanding accounts
Receive and allocate payments accordingly
Create financial reports for Head Office
Invoicing
Bank recons
Meet with parents to resolve billing and account queries
Submit invoices for approval and pay invoices
Assist with payroll
