Campus Manager – Technical Academy (Durban)
Our Client a progressive technical academy, is seeking a dynamic, driven, and highly professional Campus Manager to lead the operations and growth of their Durban Campus.
This is a strategic leadership role, reporting directly to the National Campus Director and is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, learner success, QCTO compliance, staff leadership, and campus growth within a high-performance artisan training environment. The successful candidate will combine strategic and hands-on leadership, managing campus operations, compliance, training delivery, learner experience and administration, LMS systems, staff development, and business growth within a structured, fast-paced environment.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Campus Leadership & Operations Lead all day-to-day campus operations, ensuring effective coordination across training, learner support, administration, compliance, facilities, and operational functions. Implement and continuously improve operational systems, controls, reporting structures, and processes. Manage campus facilities, workshops, classrooms, equipment, and learning resources to ensure training readiness. Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement. Ensure Occupational Health and Safety compliance and audit readiness across all campus activities. Compliance, Quality Assurance & Accreditation Ensure full compliance with QCTO, SETA, NAMB, DHET, accreditation, assessment centre, and Quality Management System requirements. Oversee learner registrations, learner tracking, assessments, moderation, workplace learning, trade test readiness, and compliance reporting. Maintain audit-ready learner records, portfolios of evidence, assessment documentation, and quality assurance systems. Coordinate internal and external audits, monitoring visits, verifications, and regulatory reviews. Training Planning & Programme Delivery Plan, coordinate, and manage training rollouts, learner intakes, timetables, assessments, facilitator allocation, and programme implementation. Ensure occupational programmes are delivered in line with curriculum requirements, learner needs, and industry standards. Monitor programme performance, learner progression, and operational risks, implementing corrective actions where necessary. Drive learner success, workplace readiness, and quality educational outcomes. LMS, Reporting & Learner Administration Oversee the effective use of LMS and learner management systems, ensuring accurate learner records, attendance, assessments, progression tracking, and reporting. Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal, QCTO, and SETA reporting requirements. Identify and implement improvements to learner administration, reporting processes, and operational systems. Staff Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop training, learner support, and administrative teams. Manage staff performance, accountability, communication, attendance, and professional development. Build a collaborative, disciplined, and high-performance working environment. Stakeholder & Industry Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, host employers, industry partners, SETAs, QCTO, and other stakeholders. Support workplace-based learning opportunities, learner placements, and employer engagement initiatives. Represent the Academy professionally within the artisan development and skills development sectors. Minimum Requirements Essential Relevant technical or business qualification Proven leadership experience in training, education, campus management, operations management, or skills development environments. Strong understanding of QCTO occupational qualifications, SETA processes, compliance, quality assurance, and artisan development. Experience managing training rollouts, learner administration, assessments, reporting, and LMS systems. Experience leading both training and administrative teams. Strong planning, organisational, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel and reporting tools. Advantageous Experience within artisan, electrical, engineering, construction, or technical training environments. Understanding of workplace-based learning, trade testing, ARPL, assessments, moderation, and verification processes. Facilitator, Assessor, or Moderator registration. Artisan, technical, engineering, or electrical qualification.
