Based in: Meyersdal, JHB

We are seeking a motivated Candidate Attorney to join a busy civil litigation practice in Meyersdal, Alberton. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent LLB graduate to serve their articles in a dynamic, hands-on litigation environment and build a strong foundation for their legal career.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilties Attend court appearances and consultations with clients and counsel Prepare trial bundles, court files, and briefing notes for counsel Conduct legal research across a range of civil litigation matters Draft and prepare applications, action-related pleadings, and notices Liaise professionally with clients, advocates, correspondents, sheriffs, and opposing attorneys Ensure compliance with court rules, practice directives, and litigation timelines Contribute to the firm's commitment to delivering high-quality legal services Minimum Requirements LLB degree from a recognised South African university Willing and available to serve 2 years of articles of clerkship Strong academic record with reasonable knowledge of civil procedure Candidate from a designated group as defined in the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998 - preference for a black male or female candidate aged 20-30 Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills Computer literate, particularly in MS Office Ability to work independently while managing multiple matters Valid driver's licence (own reliable vehicle advantageous) Currently residing in the City of Johannesburg or the City of Ekurhulen
