JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, an engineering company based in Paarl is looking for a Cashbook Clerk to join their team.

Reporting to the Office Manager in Paarl, this position is required to take full responsibility for the cashbook function which includes: financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Preparing payments (including communication with suppliers, collecting of all relevant supporting documents) and loading payments on Sage
Reconcile various bank accounts to the bank statements monthly
Capture normal batch on Cashbook for the various bank reconciliations
Reconcile company credit card accounts and allocate costs monthly
Prepare monthly Vodacom and Nashua allocations
Various balance sheet reconciliations and journals
Attend weekly to the aged payables and prepayments
Prepare and submit foreign payments
Assisting with any ad hoc financial tasks as requested from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

A Certificate or Diploma in Financial Management or similar
1-2 years working experience in a financial environment.
Attention to detail.
Good reading and writing skills
Computer Literate
Good communication skills, verbal and written.
Team player and friendly disposition.

SALARY

R10 000
