Performs Category Management role for one or more sub-categories.

Develop multi-year enterprise sourcing strategy and savings roadmap in collaboration with the head of ISM function, CFO and other C-suite executives of the respective function/ businesses
Increase global and regional leverage sourcing capabilities through cross-market international collaboration and ownership of global indirect spend categories
Play an active role in the communities of practice and work collaboratively with the COE Lead and POC Lead to mature the ISM function and drive continuous improvement of the ISM function
Provide stewardship of strategic sourcing policy as well as P2P technology and process adoption throughout the organization
Develop Preferential Procurement and Supplier Development strategies that are integrated into the Category Strategies and plans
Technology awareness and leveraging best practice technologies to drive supplier management
Drive Supplier Relationship Management and collaborative supplier value engineering and innovation projects
Ensure robust supplier risk management strategies are in place for all managed categories within the tower

Category Tower Lead (Executive)- ISM
Performs Category Management role for one or more sub-categories
Develop multi-year enterprise sourcing strategy and savings roadmap in collaboration with the head of ISM function, CFO and other C-suite executives of the respective function/ businesses
Increase global and regional leverage sourcing capabilities through cross-market international collaboration and ownership of global indirect spend categories

Execute sourcing projects as defined within the portfolio strategy
Define project goals, timelines, roles and responsibilities, and an overall project management plan
Apply contemporary methods and innovative approaches, such as e-Auctions, should-cost models…
Oversee the development and, when required, execute on the organization's complex negotiation strategies to assure alignment to established goals and desired outcomes
Work with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procured contain all details of the negotiation and tender terms and conditions
Support the improvement in Preferential Procurement Spend and Enterprise and Supplier Development
Develop comprehensive implementation and communication plans with stakeholders and end users
Ensure involvement of all organizations and individuals impacted. Quantify and document results
Develop and deploy standard reporting for key stakeholders that guages satisfaction, engagement and performance against sourcing activities, upcoming contract expirations, supplier performance issues, and other key information
Increase total contract spend under categories managed for the respective tower
Increase spend under management for the respective tower
Improve voice of the customer and voice of the supplier metrics
Improve BBBEE compliance (Preferential Procurement and ESD Score)
Improve ISM Sourcing Skills
Contribute to the improvement ISM Maturity
Achieve financial targets
Adoption of new ways of work and technology enablers
Manage metrics to influence demand management
Continuously track and manage indirect spends and ensure procurement budgets are met for the respective and optimized

Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Business Process Management, Analytics, Information Technology
* 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management management consulting, retail or professional services role with a demonstrated track record of results and increasing level of responsibility
* MCIPS (Chartered institute of Procurement and Supply), PMP (Project Management Professional), SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional), MBA desirable
