An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Centre Manager to oversee operations at a prominent retail centre in Polokwane. This key role involves managing day-to-day centre operations, maximising rental income, ensuring building compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with tenants, service providers, and local authorities.
The ideal candidate is highly organised, solutions-driven, and brings a strong blend of operational, financial, and people management skills within a commercial property environment.
Key Duties:
- Conduct daily centre inspections and address maintenance issues proactively
- Manage on-site personnel and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain and update operational records including tenant information, lease expiries, and asset registers
- Oversee non-technical maintenance and liaise with property services for technical issues
- Build strong tenant relationships and address queries or complaints promptly
- Support leasing activities, including sourcing new tenants and negotiating renewals (within set parameters)
- Coordinate marketing events, promotions, and tenant communications
- Monitor competitor activity and local developments impacting the centre
Key Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) plus a relevant Diploma or Degree
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in property, facilities, or centre management
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and administrative skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Familiarity with building maintenance, OHS compliance, and leasing processes
- A proactive and customer-focused mindset
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required (e.g. for events)
