Centre Manager - 2 month contract

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Centre Manager for a 2 month contract vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

 

• Degree/Diploma in Social Work / Nursing (Community, Psychiatry & Midwifery)
• Registered with SACSSP / SANC
• 5+ years relevant post qualification experience (2 years of which must be supervisory)
• Experience in supervising youth programmes such as teen parenting, GBV prevention, post violence care etc
• MS Office literate and good communication skills
• Successful candidate must be available to commence duties on 1 November 2021

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Develop strategies, implement plans for youth activities and organizing / running events
• Engage with the youth in the community and encourage participation in youth activities
• Recruitment, manage & mentor ‘safe space’ staff / volunteers
• Build/maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government, schools, churches and individuals
• Develop materials (online & print) for campaigns
• Develop / coordinate social media activities to increase profile and updating relevant pages
• Actively seek media coverage for campaigns and projects
• Establish evaluation systems to measure operational achievements
• Ensure flow of operation information to Project Manager
• Representative at meetings, events and in the media
• Identify potential areas for integration, or new funding opportunities
• Provide relevant intervention / support to referred youth
• Provide advice, guidance / support to safe space personnel
• Arrange regular debriefing sessions / meetings and actively manage / follow up on complex cases
• Periodic reporting to management and stakeholders

 

Salary:  R64 000.00 per month for the 2 month contract duration
