POSITION INFO:
The Role: Centre Manager The purpose of this role is to take full responsibility for the overall management and performance of Malekane Mall. The position exists to optimize operational efficiency, implement local safety and regulatory compliance standards, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. The main focus areas include financial management, tenant relations, and coordinating marketing and leasing activities. Key Responsibilities Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the shopping centre. Monitor financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate contracts with vendors. Maintain strong tenant relationships by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring lease compliance. Coordinate leasing activities, including tenant recruitment and onboarding. Develop and support marketing initiatives, promotional events, and campaigns to attract customers. Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth. Lead, train, supervise staff, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing team. Act as a liaison with the local community and build positive relationships with stakeholders. About You Proven experience in retail or property management, or a related role. Sound understanding of local regulations, industry best practices, and operational safety standards. Strong financial acumen, including experience in budgeting and financial analysis. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Availability for full-time hours, after-hours emergencies, and occasional weekend site visits. National Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, or Property Management. Qualification in Real Estate Management or a related field.
