POSITION INFO:

Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a Change Manager - Communications Specialist (SAP Ariba, Supply Chain, Vendor Engagement ) to join their team in Rosebank on a hybrid contract basis. This contract will run until August 2024 with possible renewal.

Job Summary: The Change Manager responsible for communication will play a crucial role in developing and implementing communication plans for the One SC Project. Reporting into the Change and Training Lead, and working closely with project teams, stakeholders, and leadership, the Change Manager will ensure that project-related information is effectively communicated to support project goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

Communication Planning:

• Collaborate with Change Manager and Internal and external teams to understand project goals and objectives.
• Develop comprehensive communication plan tailored to the unique needs of the project.
• Identify key messages and communication channels for project-related information.
• Identify key messages and communication channels specific for Vendor communications in support of the Supplier Enablement stream
• Assess the client communications platforms and align to project stakeholder needs.
• Develop a communication approval process suited to the project requirements.
• Guide client on how communication effectiveness will be measured

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Identify and analyze project stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Whilst collaborating with the Change Manager, develop strategies for engaging and communicating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• In cooperation with the Change Manager manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure their information needs are met.

Content Creation:

• Create clear and concise project-related content, including updates, reports, and announcements, aligned to the project phases
• Develop ad hoc messages based on project and/or stakeholder requirements.
• Develop visually appealing materials such as presentations, communication pack, infographics, and newsletters
• Ensure consistency of messaging across all project communications.

Internal and External Communication:

• Facilitate communication between project stakeholders and relevant departments.
• Work with the Supplier Enablement team to develop external communications to vendors.
• Act as a liaison between the project team and external partners or vendors.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Monitor the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust as needed.
• Provide regular reports on the status of project communications and the effectiveness of communication (as and when required)
• Gather and analyse feedback to improve communication processes.

Ad hoc Communication:

• Develop and ad hoc communication messages.
• Provide guidance and support related to communications gaps and issues.

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, or a related field (preferable)
• Proven experience as a Project Communications Specialist, Change Management specialist or in a similar role.
• Good understanding of IT projects (preferably this resource should have completed a few IT/ERP projects)
• Preferably has worked with Suppliers before and/or are familiar with Supplier engagement and comms requirements.
• Ability to work within project timelines (timezone differences)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Change Management methodologies (Prosci certified)
• Knowledge of best practices in project communication and stakeholder engagement.
