Purpose of the job:

The channel specialist runs programming of Owned and Managed 3rd party (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) channels, along with the community management across them.
She/he drives brand love via organic engagement with as large an audience as possible across metrics such as reach, engagements, frequency, and length of interaction, by ensuring we generates word of mouth with the right content on the right account/platform at the right time. Translates online performance data into actionable plans, uplevels broader digital media expertise and

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities:

1. Helps create the programming plans for and runs day-to-day programming of Owned and Managed channels, including content programming and community  management.
2. Optimizes channel performance through use of analytics, scheduling, featuring, using customized functionalities and driving smooth consumer journeys across platforms.
3. Works closely with Content team to ensure content is made for-platform to maximize performance. Executes activation plans with the Brand and Communications departments to maximize reach of this content.
4. Uses the right mix of local and global content to ensure year-long audience engagement. Has a strong understanding of what local content will work with a local audience, and how to program it.
5. Works with the Head of Programming to build on the organization’s business plan by creating and programming strategies in support of the organization’s wider marketing mix.

Education and Experience:
• Required to have past experience actually running social media accounts and/or programming websites and apps
• Expert in identifying where consumers live digitally, how they consume content, and how to engage them with content according to their consumption behavior
• Has a constant sense of online trends and knows how to drive Word of Mouth online
• Experience in content commissioning and promotion
• Passion for our brand, its content and values, and understands how to translate this into driving brand love in an online environment through media

Skills and Knowledge:
• Lives and breathes media on the internet
• Excellent digital industry knowledge
• Analytic thinking, high affinity to data, with ability to translate into strategy and concrete initiatives
• Extensive administration skills and love for details
• Excellent internal Communication and Social skills
