SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with our client in the electrical engineering sector, based in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Financial Reporting:
- Maintaining organization and up to date records.
- Analysing business performance.
- Cash and capital management.
- Production of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting.
- Prepare month end closing and reconciliation process.
- Prepares internal and external financial statements.
- Prepares general ledger entries and reconciling accounts.
- Resolve accounting and financial queries.
- Responsibility for interim and year end audits.
- Monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and accruals and provisions.

Financial Strategy:
- Analyze revenue and supports financial decisions.
- Account analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Identify and implement best practices.
- Develops and implements accounting procedures.
- Protects organization''s value by keeping information confidential.
- Prepare financial monthly, quarterly and annual result, in accordance with accounting best practices.
- Streamline internal processes.
- Develops and implements internal control processes and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategic finance plan.
- Set the financial budgets for the group.

Management and Leadership:
- Ensure staff are up to date for month end for reporting deadlines.
- Keep track of leave records.
- Supervise and manage the finance team.
- Provide a financial service to the Executive Team.

Requirements:

- Minimum Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
- A minimum of 2 years'' post qualification experience
- Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP)
- Financial modeling
- Forecasting and budgeting
- Preparation of management accounts and annual financial statements
- Current VAT Legislature knowledge
- Financial Systems Knowledge
- Good Tax and Accounting knowledge
