JOB SUMMARY:
Chef | Kitchen Manager - George - Western Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidates must possess knowledge about Food & Beverage, have experience as a Chef. Excellent communication skills are essential, as to build a rapport with guests and ability to lead a team.

Duties:

Day to day running of the restaurant and kitchen
Stocktake and maintenance thereof
Maintain Health and Safety policies and procedures and overall hygiene and cleanliness of restaurant
Training, discipline, managing and motivating of staff
Communicate with customers to assess level of customer satisfaction
Coordinating the operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts
Ensure customer service is maintained at a high level
Look for opportunities to improve procedures, and make improvements where appropriate
Greet customers, advise on menu and wine items and take orders during busy hours
Any other responsibilities relating to the restaurant as outlined by management
Administration and processing invoices
Menu development and planning

Can do attitude and solutions focused

Requirements:

Excellent command of the English language
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Chef
Tertiary qualification as a Chef will be beneficial
