Chemical Metallurgist

SUMMARY:
My Client, is seeking a Chemical/Process Metallurgist with Chemical experience which is highly skilled and capable. This person will be responsible to set up a new lab, so in dept knowledge of metal behavior and its alloys is essential.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications: 

• BTech Degree - Matalllurgy
• 8yrs experience.
• Chemical analysis
• Setting up and running a laboratory
• Manufacturing experience
• System development and implementation.
• Adept in analytical and problem-solving

The following duties and responsibilities are a necessity:

• Implementation of ISO 9001 QA system in the Foundry
• Setting up and management of the laboratory.
• Process planning and raw material categorisation and utilisation.
• Process control
• Monitor and control metallurgical properties of copper used in Foundry
• Daily chemical analysis of the strength and performance of materials being processed
• Verbal and written feedback to management of status
• Root cause analysis of production failures
• Preparing and presenting same
• Good housekeeping
• Adherence to all company and departmental specific safety protocols
