POSITION INFO:
A world-renowned, highly prestigious international organization is seeking an analytically sharp, commercially minded Chief Accountant to join their executive finance division. This position is custom-built for an accomplished finance leader who combines deep technical accounting mastery with digital system fluency and the commercial confidence to partner with cross-functional business stakeholders. Operating at the core of the financial control framework, you will hold direct responsibility for P&L integrity, balance sheet governance, complex IFRS 16 lease accounting, and credit risk monitoring. Additionally, you will play a central leadership role in driving corporate process automation and supporting the financial integration of a new enterprise CRM system. Key Responsibilities: Financial Integrity & P&L Oversight: Direct and review comprehensive Income Statement (P&L) reconciliations, ensuring absolute data integrity, accuracy, and compliance across all operating ledgers. Payroll Control & Disbursement Authorization: Manage, review, and reconcile complex payroll accounts and transactions while evaluating and approving corporate payment batches in strict alignment with internal control frameworks. IFRS 16 Lease Accounting: Lead the operational accounting, schedule calculations, and financial disclosures required under IFRS 16 statutory standards. Systems Integration & Digital Transformation: Serve as the primary finance lead assisting with the rollout, data mapping, and financial integration of a new corporate CRM platform. Credit Risk Governance & Commercial Analytics: Monitor credit risk exposures, evaluate counterparty risks, and deliver data-backed financial insights to safeguard working capital. Process Engineering & Stakeholder Engagement: Drive continuous improvements across financial reporting workflows, resolving complex multi-departmental financial queries and supporting executive ad-hoc projects. Job Experience and Skills Required: Formal Education: A completed BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent tertiary financial qualification. Professional Designation: CGMA \/ CIMA qualification is strongly preferred and will be highly advantageous. Experience Track: A minimum of 5+ years of solid, reference-backed commercial experience in a Chief Accountant, Financial Manager, or Senior Technical Accountant role within a corporate environment. Specialized Technical Competencies (Non-Negotiable): Advanced hands-on experience and technical mastery of IFRS 16 lease accounting principles. Proven track record in complex P&L and payroll account reconciliations. Systems & Risk Exposure: Advanced operational command of Microsoft Excel; practical experience with financial software\/CRM system implementations and credit risk management is highly beneficial.
