Chief Financial Officer CA(SA)

Our client is a dynamic, growing company that farms South African abalone for the Asian market. The company currently has two farms and a processing facility in the Overberg Region. They have a position available for a Chief Financial Officer to be based in, or around, Hermanus.

The primary purpose of the position is to contribute to the overall success of the business by effectively managing all financial and distribution controls in line with recognized accounting standards and procedures and by providing appropriate financial advice for improving and growing our business. As Chief Financial Officer you would be a key part of a dynamic and passionate team that aims for excellence.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years work-based practical experience
• Qualified CA (SA)
• Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
• Understanding and knowledge of legislation and other regulatory aspects related to the business matters (e.g., Companies Act, B-BBEE Act, Income Tax Act, Value Added Tax Act, etc.)
• Strong skills in negotiating, relationship building and problem solving
• Results oriented and the ability to meet deadlines
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
• Experience in corporate finance matters (Mergers and Acquisitions, International structures) will be advantageous
• Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
• Preference will be given to fully vaccinated (COVID-19) candidates
