SUMMARY:
My client is seeking an experienced Chief Geologist to be based in Postmasburg.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor Hons Degree in Geology or General Diploma in Engineering or Mineral Resource Management or Mining Engineering
• Diploma in Business Management (Advantageous).
• 8 Years Operational Mining Geology (In Total) Experience
• 5 Years Operational Commodity-Specific (Iron Ore) Experience
• 3 Years People Management Experience
• Valid Code B Driving License

Required Competencies:

• Professional Status: SACNASP and Geological of South Africa.
• System Skills: Microsoft Office, Laboratory Information Management Systems and Geological Software.
• Technical Competency: Mining Competency A.

• Implement operations effectiveness model and practice.
• Promote and enforce compliance.

• Ground water modelling.
• Comply with IMS standards.

• People development and identify training gaps.
