SUMMARY:
Calling all senior auditors in Johannesburg West!!!

POSITION INFO:

A large mining conglomerate is looking for a Chief Internal Auditor who is able to efficiently manage high-performance teams, as well as various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should:

CA (SA) or CIA – CISA if CFE in addition would be advantageous
Have a minimum of 10 + years'' experience in Internal Audit or External Audit
Be a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors or SAICA
Be willing and able to work overtime on an ad hoc basis
Be able to travel (locally and internationally) when necessary
Must have previous management experience
Must have managed a team

Key responsibilities include:

Understanding of internal and external micro and macro risk factors
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) legislation, IFRS, etc
IIA Professional Practices Frameworks and IIA Code of Ethics
Quality assurance for Internal Audit
Risks and controls in order to focus on internal audits in high risk areas
Write letters of intent
Excellent report writing skills that articulate issues and risk areas
Writing audit programmes or audit testing procedures
Data analytics test procedures
Proficiency in interpreting data to ensure an increased control effectiveness coverage

Remuneration:

R1 500 000 CTC
