Chief Internal IT Auditor

SUMMARY:
Our client operating within the Mining industry and based in Johannesburg West is currently looking to appoint someone as their new Chief Internal IT Auditor. If you are the right person, please apply!

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant CA(SA) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation
• Minimum 7 years’ previous working experience within a similar IT Internal Audit and/or External Audit position
• Previous working experience within a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliant environment
• Advanced Teammate audit software skills are highly advantageous

Job description & Skills:

• Ensuring compliance with relevant International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) listing, and Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) listing requirements
• Ensuring adherence to the guidelines within the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Professional Practices and/or Code of Ethics frameworks   
• Implementing the IT audit methodology and the SSL certificate audit methodology
• Providing insight to internal and/or external related micro and macro risk factors and applying ‘best practices’ relating to existing internal audit principles
• Facilitating the successful completions of IT Governance, IT pre-implementation, post-implementation, and infrastructure audits
• Extracting IT risks and controls to focus internal audits to high-risk areas
• Leveraging off data analytics test procedures with proficiency in interpreting data to ensure increased control and effectiveness coverage
• Performing management requests and/or ad hoc audits
