As the design authority in your field, you will guide the development of advanced antenna systems, combining strategic insight with hands-on technical leadership and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

🚀 Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Design Authority

• Serve as the design authority for mechanical/structural engineering
• Lead complex system designs, ensuring technical excellence and robustness
• Oversee design reviews, ensuring compliance, manufacturability, and performance integrity
• Ensure alignment with defence and aerospace standards such as MIL-STD, STANAG, IEC, and ISO

Mentorship & Team Development

• Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Support capability development within the mechanical engineering discipline

Opportunity & Strategy Support

• Contribute to feasibility studies, concept development, and bid activities
• Support strategic decision-making alongside executive leadership
• Collaborate with other Chief Engineers across disciplines

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Drive research and development initiatives
• Champion process improvements and engineering best practices
• Contribute to intellectual property development and technical differentiation

🎯 Minimum Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering

Experience

• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Proven track record of technical leadership and design authority roles

Core Expertise

• Recognised subject matter expert in structural mechanics
• Strong understanding of defence and aerospace engineering practices
• Experience with structural analysis, materials, and system integration
