POSITION INFO:

Our client is a global, headquartered in Australia, professional Engineering services company of energy, chemicals, and resources whose expertise spans concept development through to commercial-scale plant delivery and operations. They are seeking to URGENTLY appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Chief Process Engineer to be based in Johannesburg.

MAIN PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE:

• To report directly into Process Engineering Lead.
• To apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis which requires being fully conversant in the profession and proficient in the utilization of current engineering theories and practices.
• To contribute to exploiting their industry networks in this area to generate leads for opportunities for the company.
• To demonstrate solidly grounded hydrometallurgical work experience.
• To determine methods and solutions for complex engineering problems and selects the most efficient and economical manner for meeting objectives.
• To serve as a technical consultant in an area of hydrometallurgical opportunities.
• To provide Process Engineering overseeing for one larger or one or more smaller projects.

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

Industry Specific Experience:

• Solidly grounded experience of process engineering aspects such as developing design criteria, mass & energy balancing, simulation, PFD & P&ID developing for hydrometallurgical operations.

IT Skills:

• Competent in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint. Proficient in speciality engineering or design tools, analytics, and modelling (with specific emphasis on hydrometallurgy tools), and cross-discipline data-centric methods.
• Awarded a 4- or 5-year technical degree in science or engineering.
• Trained in leadership and project execution will be advantageous.
• Professional Engineering Registration will be a distinct advantage.
