CISO Job Purpose

The Chief Security and Information Officer serves as the process owner of all assurance activities related to the availability, integrity and confidentiality of customer, business partner, employee and business information in compliance with the organization''s information security policies. A key element of the CISO''s role is working with executive management to determine acceptable levels of risk for the organization. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a company-wide information security management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected.
The CSIO is also responsible for all IT and enterprise systems within the organization, setting objectives and strategies for the IT department. Selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ï‚· Ownership and execution of the company''s security strategy
ï‚· Own and manage all internal and network-related security policies, systems, channels, elements, components, and access points.
ï‚· Operational short to long-term management of SOC functions (monitoring / change control)
ï‚· Design and implement internal and external security policies, procedures, tools and workflows
ï‚· Management of Security-technology suppliers, vendors, and partners
ï‚· Prepare and manage security audits
ï‚· Executive reporting, dashboard visibility, escalation procedures and root cause analysis ownership
ï‚· Manage and report on IT and Security budgets (CAPEX/OPEX)
ï‚· Compliance, regulatory and legislative controls management
ï‚· Manage and grow rain security department (ensuring contingency and growth)
Attributes and Requirements:
ï‚· Must be able to work cross functionally with other departments as well as external customers, suppliers, partners and vendors.
ï‚· Deep knowledge in the IT and Security domains, trends, protocols, frameworks and compliance methodologies.
ï‚· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of personal integrity
ï‚· Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.
