QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

  • Grade 12 (Required);
  • Mine Surveyors Certificate of Competency (Required);
  • National Diploma or Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mine Surveying (Required);
  • National Higher Diploma Mineral Resource Management (Advantageous).

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three (3) years Management Experience (Required);
  • Eight (8) years Surveying Experience in the Mining Industry or Environment (Required);
  • Valid Code B Driving License (Required).

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Professional Status: IMSSA or SAIMM or Plato Registration;
  • Behavioural: Business Acumen, Leading People, Building Relationships, Results Driven and Leading Change;
  • System Skills: Microsoft Office, SHERQ Systems, Microstation, Terra Modeller, Maptek Leica Infinity and Trimble Realworks Software;
  • Legal Requirement: MHSA Section 2.17.1.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, implement, control and monitor approved changes;
  • Business intelligence and trend analyses;
  • Functional process optimisation;

  • Promote and enforce compliance;
  • Plan, direct and assess quality management within function;
  • Input into functional planning;
  • Micro- and macro-economic awareness;
  • Surveying functions;

  • Implement and manage people development initiatives;
  • People development and identify training gaps;

Closing Statement:

  • The successful incumbent will be appointed subject to being certified medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996 and meeting the requirements of the Company’s Code of Practice – Minimum Standards of Fitness to perform work at a Mine. He/she may also undergo a psychometric assessment.
  • The abovementioned position is a D3 on the Patterson grading. The successful candidate that conforms to all said requirements and experience will be appointed on this grading. The successful candidate will be appointed on a 6 month probation period.
  • Remuneration will be based on a competitive all-inclusive flexible package.
