POSITION INFO:
The Role:
We are looking for a Civil Engineer for a contract position in Richards Bay.
- B.Tech Civil EngineeringÂ qualificationÂ Â
- Must be available immediatelyÂ
Skills and Experience:
- Must be able to manage subcontractors to achieve contractual targets
- Ability to review proposed method statements and risk assessments
- Ensure that civil design intent has been achieved during construction activities, managing construction safety aspects on site, this includes review and approval of risk assessments and method statements and ensuring that all statutory requirements are met
- Ensuring that quality requirements are achieved
- Assist with detail shutdown planning and coordination
- Managing interfaces with other disciplines during shutdown execution Â - night shift may be required
- Manage handover to other disciplines
- Experience with concrete structures in an industrial environment required
- Track record of managing civil subcontractors as resident engineer or similar
- Must be able to work in an industrial environment during shutdown conditions
