SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established company based in Kuraman is seeking an ambitious and experienced Civil Engineer to join their team.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric.
- BTech or BEng degree.
- ECSA Registered as a Professional Engineer.
- NHBCRC Registered.
- Minimum 1 year working experience in similar field.
Main responsibilities:
- Liaison with Site Quality Coordinator and Site Staff to ensure quality of work.
- Construction methods and procedures planning assistance.
- Coordination of all relevant construction and engineer problems with Construction Manager.
- Interpretation of Engineering drawings.
- Design drawing revision, resolution of interference problems.
- Vendor drawing revision and installation instructions.
- Check acceptability of proposed methods and practises by contractor.
- Technical queries resolution.
- Ensure standards are achieved by contractor inspection.
- Ensure conformance with drawings and specification by monitoring installation of materials.
- Ensure compliance with plans and specifications by monitoring contractor activities.
- Ensuring subcontractor interprets drawings, specification and schedules correctly.
- Check equipment before release.
- Advising Materials Controller of any defects.
- Ensuring the completion of Construction Punch Lists without delay.
- Recording of all ‘as built’ information.
- Liaise with Quantity Surveyor.
- Recording of a detailed Daily Diary.
Additional Information:
- You will be required to have your own reliable transport with a valid drivers licence.
