Civil Engineer: Water Supply (Bulk water)

POSITION INFO:
Roles & Responsibilities Lead feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design, and implementation of bulk water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, intake structures, and water resource systems. Perform advanced hydraulic modelling using Civil 3D IDAS and transient\/surge analyses using KY Pipe. Prepare and lead technical proposals and tender submissions for complex water projects. Manage project deliverables and ensure alignment with client requirements and project objectives. Oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) risk identification and mitigation during design and construction. Drive design improvements to enhance cost efficiency, material optimisation, and project delivery. Provide technical guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior engineers, technicians, and draughtsmen. Education & Experience BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering (Mandatory). Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng 2-5 years post registration(Mandatory). Minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in Civil Engineering within the water sector. Experience delivering multidisciplinary water infrastructure projects. Proven track record in the design and delivery of civil water-related engineering projects. Skills & Knowledge Strong technical expertise in water engineering design and project execution Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with KY Pipe software is advantageous. Sound knowledge of hydraulic modelling and surge analysis. Strong understanding of engineering standards, codes of practice, and quality assurance principles. Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental (HSE) compliance, and continuous improvement. Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management abilities.
