POSITION INFO:

I am currently recruiting for a civil engineer with experience in the design of pipelines, pump stations, hydraulics, and project management. This person should be a registered technologist or engineer.

As a Civil Design Engineer/Technologist, you will be responsible for designing and managing civil engineering projects for various clients in the consulting industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement civil engineering projects according to client requirements and industry standards
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success
Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality
Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Between 5 to 10 years of post qualification experience in civil engineering

Proven experience with the design of municipal and sewage infrastructure

Professional registration with ECSA is beneficial

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, IDAS and other design software

Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, and standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
