JOB SUMMARY:
Consulting engineers with several Industrial Projects needs a well experienced Civil design engineer. Exciting and challenging Mining-, Petrochemical related projects. Infrastructure design of roads, water and bulk water required. Must be registered at ECSA and have a passion for design.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

SENIOR CIVIL / INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN ENGINEER

Centurion

Our client has a well-established pipeline of projects in the engineering development, design and construction of a range of projects in industrial plants (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Mining and Power Generation Plants)

The main function will be to design infrastructure and roads whilst participating in civil infrastructure engineering aspects of expansion and operation support projects simultaneously.

The engineer will be responsible for liaison with clients, planning, management in respect of infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

BSc/BEng Degree in Civil Engineering
Registration with ECSA as Professional Engineer

Minimum requirements:

Minimum 8 years’ experience in Infrastructure designs
Experience in the mining and petrochemical Environment will be an added advantage
Solid knowledge and understanding of software such as Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.

Design experience:

Must have experience in the design of infrastructure on water , stormwater and roads infrastructure
Experience in leading civil design projects, including resource planning and design time frame estimates.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

Functioning as part of a project team, liaise with other professional team members, other engineering disciplines and contractors
Coordination and management of Civil Engineering design team
Planning and management of the engineering aspects of projects in terms of scope, time, costs and quality
Review, update, and modification of drawings
Visual inspections and integrity assessments of existing civil aspects of industrial plants
Technical support during construction
