SUMMARY:
Civils Manager
POSITION INFO:
Draw up, manage Civils maintenance, operational and Capex budgets.
Plan, coordinate and execute all maintenance, operations and Capex work in line with standards, ensuring all work is completed timeously and within the approved budget.
Develop and periodically review and improve preventative maintenance strategies and procedures related to this responsibility with focus on LEAN Manufacturing, Asset Management and Continuous improvement plans.
Manage contractors or companies in respect of housing, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, roads, storm water drains, sewage systems, effluent treatment plant, office alterations, etc.)
Oversee the river pump station and filtration plant in terms of maintenance and operations.
Ensure availability of treated water and potable water to the factory and villages.
Responsible for ensuring that the potable water meets the relevant water quality standard.
Management of the appointed contract companies responsible for the daily factory and office cleaning and ensuring compliance with the FSSC 22000 standard, grass cutting and general upkeep of factory and villages as well as other companies called in to carry civil type work for the Factory.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
National Diploma in Civil Engineering or any related engineering qualification.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the management of civil construction and related works.
Experience in treated, potable and wastewater management is essential.
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Project management experience will be added advantage.
A high level of computer literacy is essential.
Experience in food safety standards and FSSC 22000 will be beneficial.
