Civils/Concrete Clerk of Works - Zambia

SUMMARY:
To monitor Earthworks and Concrete/rebar as per specifications completed by subcontractors for EPCM - detail oriented, technically skilled, and capable of ensuring that all Civils/Concrete/rebar work is carried out to the required standards and specifications

POSITION INFO:
Zambian or South African Citizens only
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Clerk of Works/Civils Supervisor
Relevant technical qualification (e.g., diploma or certification in construction management, civil engineering, or similar).
Concrete Institute Certificate including Concrete Testing
ISO Standards
Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Physically fit to pass Mining Medical in Zambia
No criminal record as will be checked for Work Visa for Zambia

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and produce detailed reports.
• Identify and report on poor workmanship, materials, and potential risks.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and project managers on-site issues.
• Ensure that health and safety standards are maintained on-site.
• Verify and document completed work for progress claims and sign-offs.
• Maintain thorough records of inspections, site activities, and deviations.
