JOB SUMMARY:
This long established Durban Commercial Insurance Brokerage, currently seeks an experienced, diligent and effective individual to join them in their recent growth and success as the Claims Consultant reporting to the Claims Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Receive claim notifications from clients by telephone or email.
Ensure the client has a valid policy in place for the loss.
Request relevant documentation to support the claim
Notify the Underwriter on notice and submit relevant documents.
Update and maintain clients information and claims status on relevant software.
Liaise with the Underwriters and clients on progress of claims.
Prepare agreements of losses timeously.
Follow up and provide regular updates to clients on claims.
Process claims from the notification, assessment, processing and payout of claim, smoothly and effectively.
Provide regular updates to the Claims Manager
Manage and maintain the software diary system effectively.
