SUMMARY:
Claims Procurement Manager with 3-5 years’ experience within the non-life insurance industry and with a Procurement or Supply Chain qualification, required to execute, monitor and manage all claims procurement initiatives, processes, procedures, systems and employees.

Claims Procurement Manager with 3-5 years’ experience within the non-life insurance industry and with a Procurement or Supply Chain qualification, required to execute, monitor and manage all claims procurement initiatives, processes, procedures, systems and employees.

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Procurement or Supply Chain qualification required
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ claims procurement management experience in the non-life insurance industry essential
  • B-BBEE compliance and claims procurement regulation knowledge required
  • Understanding of the claims service provider landscape essential
  • Motor and non-motor claims – Personal Lines and Commercial products essential
  • Knowledge of non-life claims management policies, procedures and processes essential
  • Knowledge of the legislative impact on the insurance and financial services industry required
  • Relevant regulatory and compliance requirements

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Claims Procurement Team – productivity, performance and performance management
  • Execute, monitor and manage all claims procurement related initiatives, processes, procedures, systems and employees
  • Monitoring claims costs, client experience, service provider management, content specialist for formal tenders, contract management
  • Drive preferential procurement towards B-BBEE businesses
  • Support Claims Enablement strategic objectives
  • Internal stakeholder liaison – Actuarial, Underwriting, Legal, Claims, Sale, Servicing
  • Manage compliance risk
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and client experience
  • Manage operational expenses
  • Review, draft, implement, update and manage claims procurement processes, policies and philosophies
  • Manage service provider relationships and performance
  • Present procurement initiatives to Claims Procurement Steering Committee
  • Implement approved procurement initiatives
  • Manage B-BBEE initiative and legislative requirements
  • Manage Enterprise and Supplier development initiatives
  • Monthly reporting to Head of Claims Enablement and Procurement Steering Committee
