Client Portfolio Analyst

A new opportunity exists with my client based in Cape Town. This role forms part of the Investment Management team with a strong working relationship with the Investment team in Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Management
• • Prepare cash flow forecasts using expected investment returns and cash needs
  • Monitoring of client portfolio's - preparing trade recommendations and re-balancing of portfolio's when necessary
  • Check monthly and quarterly reports and liaise with reporting team and on requirements
  • Prepare quarterly commentary on client portfolio's Trading and execution support
• Compliance and Risk Management

Requirements:

• Business, Economics or Investment related degree, preferably with Honours
• Investment related postgraduate qualification (or studying towards) such as CFP or CFA advantageous
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in the finance / investment industry

• Ensure clients adhere to approved fund manager list, asset allocation targets & limits
• Maintain record of client advice

Qualifications and Experience

• Business, Economics or Investment related degree, preferably with Honors

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in the finance / investment industry

• Strong general investment knowledge critical, i.e. economy, financial markets, asset classes and portfolio management with a keen interest in investments
• MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
