JOB SUMMARY:
If you are trauma trained nurse and ready to take on the responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse Specialist in a Trauma unit, then this will be an exciting position for you.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Co-ordinate and ensure correct assessment and nursing treatment plan of the patients.
Co-ordinate with the Clinical Facilitator to ensure on-going educational training of staff to ensure high quality care
Participate in the in-service training programs and orientation of new staff in the Trauma unit
Initiate, direct and maintain emergency treatment (Resus) to any patient in the hospital wards

Education and skills needed to be considered:
Nursing Diploma or Degree
Post basic Trauma or Emergency Care qualification (essential)
Registered with SANC
BLS certificate
Minimum of 3 yrs nursing experience within Trauma unit
Shift Leadership experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to make accurate and quick decisions
Ensure high quality patient care at all times
