SUMMARY:
A leading telecommunications entity in Johannesburg has an opportunity for an experienced Cloud Data Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity, to identify and implement the most optimal cloud solutions for the company

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements include:

Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering

Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect; Cloud Security; Open Stack Administrator; or other cloud related certification
3+ years’ experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related
5+ years’ experience of using languages: Java; Python; C++; or Ruby
Experience supervising junior colleagues
Experience with:
Open-Source Technology, software development, and system engineering (extensive)
SOA applications and Cloud based services AWS Cloud
Cloud infrastructure: Open Stack; Linux/ UNIX; Rackspace; Docker; and Microsoft Azure
Database
Strong awareness of:
Networking and Internet protocols: TCP/ IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks
Database experience
Knowledge of:
Web services: API; REST; and RPC
SQL and NoSQL and Postgres
