SUMMARY:
We require a Cloud Data Platform Specialist to work for a contract role in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

The role of the Cloud Data Platform Specialist encompasses many activities including (but not limited to):

-- Designing and implementing database solutions with Artificial and Applied intelligence.

-- Working in interdisciplinary teams that gather technical, business, cloud and data science competencies for the delivery of work in agile methodologies. Designing big data batch processing and interactive solutions.

-- Designing big data real-time processing solutions.

-- Operationalising end-to-end cloud analytics solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

-- One or more tertiary qualification(s) issued by a registered tertiary institution that is/are relevant to the role of the Cloud Data Platform Specialist; OR

-- One or more industry accredited course credential(s) that is/are relevant to the role of the Cloud Data Platform Specialist.

-- A minimum of 5 (five) years'' experience in a Cloud Data Platform Specialist or equivalent role working or consulting on tasks or projects requiring at least one of the following experiences:

1) Designing and implementing enterprise database solutions;

2) Procedural extensions, such as embedded procedures, func tion s, packages and triggers;

3) Data modelling;

4) Development and implementation of data marts, fact/dimension/transaction tables, views, indexes, data harmonisation and standardisation, data processing and business metadata management;

5) Developing data warehouse applications;

6) Designing data batch processing and interactive solutions;

7) Designing data real-time processing solutions;

8) Operationalising end-to-end cloud analytics solutions; and

9) Provided that such experience shall also include one or more of the following:

10) Data Science topics;

11) Artificial Intelligence.
