SUMMARY:

A leading telecommunications company based in Johannesburg is looking for an experienced, innovative, and tech-savvy cloud engineer.

POSITION INFO:
The lead cloud engineer must be able to configure, manage and use a variety of complex IT infrastructure and technologies.

Suitable candidates must possess the following:
· Bachelor''s degree in related discipline
· 4+ years development experience
· 2+ years of DevOps experience at an enterprise level, including DevOps on-premises and cloud
· Code- familiarity with Terraform, Python, and Atlassian stack
· Cloud computing knowledge and practical experience in AWS, Azure or other cloud solutions
· Good understanding of Linux and Windows systems administration
· In-depth knowledge of fault tolerant applications, networks and, infrastructure and application security
· An understanding or interest in technologies such as, Data science, Decisioning, Containers
Technologies required:
· Github - CI/CD and version control.
· DMS, S3, kubernetes, Spark/databricks (distributed computing systems - cluster and python & scala libraries version control and deployment), cloudformation, cloudwatch, IAM, RDS, lambda, dynamodb, API gateway, airflow, VPC, EC2 Zero trust security model, and advanced multi data centre.
· Cloud networking skills.
