POSITION INFO:

This is your opportunity to join a globally renowned mobile telecommunications provider and add value by contributing as an SME in the design and implementation of technology solutions.

You’ll be working with a team of dedicated professionals utilising the latest offerings from AWS to create robust solutions for internal clients.

Requirements:

Relevant 3-year Degree / Diploma in Computer Science OR Information Systems OR similar
5+ years’ relevant professional experience
Infrastructure / DevOps Engineering roles, deploying & maintaining multi-tiered application architectures
Hands-on experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation / Terraform; CodeBuild; Config; Systems Manager; ServiceCatalog; Lambda
Full-stack IT experience with Linux, Windows, network/firewall concepts, source control (BitBucket) and build/dependency management and continuous integration systems
Experience building automation using scripting languages like Bash/Powershell/Python;
Experience working and contributing to software applications; development/deployment/management processes in a SaaS model

Responsibilities:

Conduct reviews on current and proposed application cloud architectures and design deliverables as a Cloud SME
Enable resilience and high availability for numerous platforms, from bleeding-edge cloud applications to on-premise legacy environments
Ensure full-stack software solutions are architected and delivered using industry-leading DevOps best practices and technologies
Implement HA/DR, security, capacity, and compliance strategies for new and existing cloud platforms
Harden virtual networks, firewalls, load balancers, and virtual machines
Work with application development teams to select and utilize security tools, mitigate vulnerabilities, devise testing strategies and automate repeatable tasks
Build, implement and optimize cloud infrastructure solutions for distributed systems on public cloud platforms
Collaborate to define best practices and standards around DevOps and service resilience while also building reusable automation libraries / APIs that can be applied across the enterprise
Managing the identification and mitigation of operational risk within the cloud services (SAAS, PAAS and IAAS), including monitoring vendor alerts and advisories
