We are looking for someone that has knowledge of traditional on-premise infrastructure (Data Centre, Virtualisation, Storage) but understands how to progress these offerings into the latest Hybrid Cloud solutions (Public Cloud, Automation, AWS, Azure, IaaS, PaaS).

The Cloud Practice Lead plays a highly visible role in harnessing skills from across the organisation to help respond to clients’ challenges in the Cloud and Infrastructure space. The focus will be public, private and hybrid cloud; IaaS and PaaS solutions.

The Cloud Practice Lead will still play a pivotal role in the hands-on presales and solutions architecture for major clients. Therefore, this would be an ideal role for an experienced architect looking for their next career step or a practice leader who is still hands-on and wants to be part of the company’s growth plans.

The Role

• The Hybrid Cloud Practice Lead brings expert domain knowledge and a passion for enabling change and unlocking business value through the appropriate use of Cloud / Hybrid Cloud technologies.
• A flair for communicating innovative approaches and their benefits directly to clients, understanding the underlying business needs and goals, providing expert advice to support the resolution of complex business problems and to support sales.
• The practice lead is regarded as a subject matter expert in one or more Cloud platform technologies, speaking at industry events and publishing thought leadership. They are also able to talk at senior level regarding the trends and moves by all the key technology players.

• Advise clients on the best options for them. They are leaders capable of motivating virtual teams in a matrix structure to deliver propositions and capabilities and overseeing delivery on client site.
• The Practice Lead will manage the practise P&L as well as value proposition and leadership.

Technical Skills

• Experience in a similar client-facing Solutions / Enterprise Architect role
• Experience and knowledge in some of the following; Data Centre technologies (on premise and cloud), Virtualisation, Storage (SAN), Public Cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure), Hybrid Infrastructures, IaaS, PaaS
• Strong communication skills for C-Level engagements and client-facing technical pre-sales
• Ability to lead and mentor others
• Technology evangelist that is regularly keeping up to date with the latest cutting-edge technologies and recognising go-to-market strategies for the client
• Understanding of budgets and ability to manage a successful P&L
