POSITION INFO:

Our Client in Canada, (Ottawa/Toronto) maintains diverse supplier alliances to achieve their goal of enabling their customers around the globe to win by creating intelligent communications experiences for their customers and employees.

The MPaas team (Media Platform as a service). is looking for individuals who would like to learn and contribute to the large cloud media services solution. If you are as passionate as we are about making the MPaas platform increasingly awesome for our customers, we''d love to chat with you, we are seeking highly talented, driven, and motivated software engineers with big ideas, who are also obsessed with delivering new, intuitive, engaging, and efficient media services to our customers.

Duties:

• Plan, execute, and report on QA activities
• Help lead a team of remote QA testers, guiding them and helping them understand priorities and best practices
• Media Signalling and Control - Using REST, SIP, SDP, and SMSL you will create engaging audio and video services
• Google Cloud Services SME - deep knowledge of developing with services offered in GCP
• Al/Machine Learning SME - for services for voice, video, Collab, or Chat
• You will be a core member of the MPaas platform
• Participate in design, coding, reviews, testing, documentation, deployment, and support
• Collaborate in analysing existing code and remediating both functional and performance issues in large scalable distributed systems
• Apply secure coding principles to protect customer data as well as maintaining PCI and other forms of regulatory compliance
• Drive code testing and quality best practices including unit, functional and integration testing to create confidence and deliver quality code 

Required Skills:

• AI, NLP, and Machine Learning experience processing/manipulating Audio/Video/Collab/Chat : 5 to 6 years
• Computer Science fundamentals: 5 to 6 years
• Experience with source control (GIT) and Linux Shell : 5 to 6 years

Experience Required:

• 5+ years professional experience in software development
• 3+ years professional media services
• QA, GCP, or Al software development

Skills and Competencies:

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willing to share, and ready to learn
• Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals (object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Experienced test engineer who understands how to break things and explain succinctly how they did it
• Or experience with J2EE and spring development and good understanding of SIP, REST, SDP, or cloud service development and management experience on GCP or AI, NLP, and Machine Learning experience processing/manipulating Audio/Video/Collab/Chat
• Experience with source control (GIT) and Linux shell 

Additional Information:

• Permanent position working in Ottawa or Toronto office when it can be done safely, until then the employee will work from home
