JOB DESCRIPTION:

The SA Metal Group currently has a vacancy for motivated, hardworking and professional Code 10 drive to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the Code 10 Driver’s functions to ensure that the requirements of the Waste Control clients are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Day-to-day inspection of the vehicle and to report any faults
Loading and off-loading of various recyclable materials
Ensure the safety of other road users
Strictly ensure adherence to National Road Traffic Act
Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and the regulations of the road
Work Long Hours when required
Ensure cleanliness of Company Vehicles

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a valid, unendorsed license with a (valid) PRDP+DG
Motivated and career orientated
Good communication skills, (speak, read and write English)
Prepared to work overtime when required
Must be in good health
Hands on practical approach to the job
Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Great customer skills to maintain good customer relations
